Ways to Avoid Insomnia and Get a Good Night’s Sleep

Often in life we all suffer from insomnia. Though it is temporary in nature but the condition will not allow you to sleep well. The culprit of the issue is the stress that may cause due to any reason like a relationship breakdown, a job interview, excitement of an impending holiday or the stress of an examination. Apart from psychological problems the other contributor of the issue are high blood pressure medications, cold and flu medications and intake of caffeine.

Stress is a thing that everyone experiences in their life. However, stress is a condition of mind where the normal stability, balance and functioning of the mind get impaired. A few techniques specify how to handle stress and avoid insomnia and get a good night’s sleep.

Estrés-intensoThe most natural and healthy way of out letting your stress and staying healthy is doing exercise. This is the way by which your body will work out. This helps your body to get free from the stress hormones. While doing exercise your stress level goes down because while you work out your body release a specific type of hormone called endorphins. The hormone is something like morphine which helps the body in lowering the stress level. You can even go for a walking of half an hour. It not only reduces your mental stress but also enhances your life expectancy. However swimming and bike driving also reduce the stress.

Relax your body with enough sleep. Give your body the amount of sleep that it wants because the time you are sleeping actually your body recuperates and restores the energy reserves. And if your body lack rest then it will go on using the stored energy which will exhaust soon to keep your body active. The sleep requirement of most adults is a minimum of 7-8 hours. For children and young people 9-10 hours of sleep are suggestible. Along with the sleep, the sleeping time also matters. The time on which you are going to bed and getting from bed also matters a lot. A proper time schedule should be followed for the same. Research the other ways to investigate how to handle stress.

Another thing which reduces the level of stress is a proper diet habit. You will be happy only when your body will be healthy and fuelled properly. However stress is all about a mental state but it relates to the body also. It is the unbalanced of some bodily hormones which disturbs its natural state. Drinking a good deal of water can lower down your stress level. An under-hydrated body creates a stress hormone called cortisol. So take care of your body by drinking lots of water. It has been seen that alcohol and caffeine increases your stress level.

In order to control your stress level always follows a healthy hygienic food habit. An effective diet plan can manage your stress level. The food which helps you to remain healthy and stress free are like whole grain bread and pasta, fruits like oranges rich in vitamin A, spinach, salmon and soybean, Black and green tea loaded with a lot of antioxidants. For fat, pistachios, almonds and walnut will do well.

Relax your body by any means, as your body need. Let your body and mind with peaceful state and concentrate on how to handle stress. Listen to soft and calm music. It will get you really relaxed and happy. Try to lie down on the bed keeping your eyes closed. Take a fragrant bath to relax the body.
