Allowance that should be claim before leaving UK:

Contribution based Jobseeker’s allowance: Amount of this allowance varies according to your finical status, income, and marital status. Mainly two types of jobseeker allowance are available, details of which can be found on jobcentre plus. Along with this allowance, one can also get child benefits and child tax credit. People of age 18-24 can receive £57.35, whereas if you are above 25, you can get £72.40 as jobseeker allowance. However, a couple (both aged 18+) can get £113.70 from this allowance. You can get this allowance only if you have worked for at least 26 weeks in previous year earning lower possible earning limit for that year i.e. £111 as of 2015. All these payments are made into your bank account.
Statutory Maternity Leave: Eligible employees can take up to 52 weeks leave under the policies of this allowance. The earliest leave can be avail from 11th week from the expected date. It is recommended to take at least 4 weeks off after child birth.
Statutory Sick Pay (SSP): If you are too ill to work, you can get £87.55 from this allowance. However, one has to provide authentic medical certificates to prove illness. To qualify for this allowance, one has to off the work since 4 days (including holidays).
Winter Fuel Allowance: If you are born after 5 July, 1952 you can get this allowance to pay your heating bills. The amount of this allowance varies from £100-£300. Mostly payments are delivered in the months of November and December. People who are eligible for state pension can automatically get this allowance.
Allowances that can be Claim from Spain:
Industrial injuries Disablement Benefit: You can claim this allowance if you become seriously ill or disable while living in Spain from the British government. Amount of this allowance varies according to the condition and individual circumstances.
Bereavement Benefits: One can claim this allowance from the British government if their spouse or civil partner has died. One can get lump-sum payment of £2000 under this allowance.
Contribution-based Employment Support Allowance: Residents of British living in Spain can get this allowance to support their financial status. One can receive this allowance for 13 weeks after claiming it with following rates:
- Up to £101.15 a week if you belong to work-related activity group.
- Up to £108.15 a week if you belong to support group.
Child Benefit/ Guardian Allowance:
You can get this allowance if you are raising a child of age under 16. A small tax is applicable if you are living with a partner having income more than £500.
